Baku was founded on the beaches of Sydney, through its original brand Bubbles Beach Co, in 1969. 1995 saw the introduction of the BAKU label and in 1999 the company changed hands to the next generation, brother and sister, Dax & Tamara Bykerk. The owners are also the design duo behind the BAKU brand, crafting each print and silhouette to ensure it is just right for you!
This family owned Australian company continues to design and primarily manufacture all its beautiful swimwear here in Australia as we are big believers in keeping it local. Our swimwear continues to be inspired by the Australian beach lifestyle and the beautiful landscape that characterizes our amazing country. Our Swimwear is all about fit, function and fashion and the desire to make all women feel amazing!
